Immigrant Community Bail Fundraiser, This community bail fundraiser is for Santos, an organization which administers a state-wide bail and legal defense fund for incarcerated people who are immigrants. Local and touring artists have come together on this mixed bill of awesome performances, including music, poetry, drag and discussion. The guest panel is comprised of local immigrant activists and organizers. Rebeca Jimenez is an undocumented mother and activist who has been working for the rights of immigrant folks and freeing them from ICE. She will be giving a short workshop on how to be an ally to immigrants. There will be food, drinks and merch made by immigrant folks who are currently in Richmond. All proceeds from door, tape sales, merch, artworks, food and drinks will go into supporting the various ways the organization plugs into the community. Performances by: Persephone (RVA). Spoken word performance by Ghadir Said (RVA).

EXHIBITION RECEPTION

Clouds and Flowers, and exhibition of paintings and sculpture by Kirsten Hemrich, opens with a reception from 6pm-9pm.

The exhibition runs through February 29th. Open hours Saturday 11am-6pm or by appointment.

EXHIBITION RECEPTION

Relic Drift, a gallery and storefront exhibition curated by Debbie Quick. The main gallery features sculptural ceramics imbued with evidence of human existence by Jackie Brown and Rebecca Murtaugh. Referencing mid-century modern aesthetics, the storefront has utilitarian ceramics of Gretchen Mull and Heather McCalla of Tiny Badger Ceramics. The exhibition is open during NCECA beginning Tuesday, March 24th through Saturday, March 28th from 10am-6pm and Sunday, March 29th from 1-6pm with an opening reception from 6-9pm on Friday, March 27th. Relic Drift runs through April 26th with open hours after NCECA on Saturdays from 11am-6pm or by appointment.
